Desde el Monte Carmelo

El espacioso Valle de Jezreel se extiende hacia el norte y el este desde el Monte Carmelo así proporcionando una ruta para viajeros internacionales en la antigüedad. Monte Tabor

El Monte Gilboa se encuentra en el lado sureste del Valle Jezreel. El rey Saúl se vio forzado a suicidarse en estas cuestas cuando estaba a punto de ser derrotado por los filisteos. En vista de la muerte de Saúl y Jonatán, David maldijo el monte: “Montes de Gilboa, ni rocío ni lluvia caiga sobre vosotros, ni seáis tierras de ofrendas” (2S 1:21).

El Manantial Harod

Al pie del Monte Gilboa se encuentra el Manantial Harod. Jueces 7 describe la actuación de Gedeón al reducir su ejercito. El trajo sus hombres al manantial y los escogió basado en la forma de beber el agua. En la actualidad, hay una piscina en frente a la cueva de donde el manantial emerge.

Valle Harod

Esta maravillosa vista está llena de historia bíblica. Desde este lugar en Tel Jezreel mirando hacia el este, uno se puede imaginar al ungido (pero no todavía coronado) Jehú “cabalgando como loco,” en camino a matar a los reyes de Israel y Judá. 900 años después, Jesús sanó a 10 leprosos probablemente en este valle.
